Blogging Fail

Yup, that's me. I fail at blogging.

But at least I can blame the last 6.5 weeks on this adorable little stinker...

Meet our Lydia Anne, aka Lala or LL Cool Baby/LL Crying Baby. She is wonderful, and, oh, how my life has changed.

We met her at 1:12pm on 12/08/2010, and she was 7# 6oz and 21" long. She was born with a full head of hair that to this day can't decide if it wants to be auburn, red, blonde, or strawberry. It is gradually lightening up, but still can't decide quite what shade it will be. Her eyes are also lightening, and I think she will be our beautiful blue eyed girl.

She is nursing pretty well, but we are still continuing the formula supplementing that began during her NICU stay for jaundice. I had some supply issues during that time, and Lala was a very slow gainer of weight, so the 3-6 ounces of formula she gets in a day are my assurance and crutch right now. She finally regained her birth weight at 6 weeks, and I am going to discontinue her supplement one day soon.

I'm hoping to blog more as I've gotten pretty good at being at the computer and nursing.
This has become very important as Lala prefers being attached to the boob over anything else at this point. The state of my house is a testament to this, and the fact that our stinker does not like any sling or baby carrier for more than a few minutes. She is getting used to being worn, and her bouncy seat, and her crib/bassinet/cradle/places other than my arms, but it is very slow going. My goal before going back to work is to get her acclimated to those things, and hopefully get her to sleep somewhere other than on/next to me. I have until March 6th. ::gulp::

I have more blog posts to write, including a general update, Lydia's birth story, and many, many pictures to post. I'm going to challenge myself to write once a day for the rest of the week. Let's see how I do and go from there. ;)

So until the next time, here is another picture to tide you over...
